Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

ThaparMatch is exclusively for current students of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. You must:

• Have a valid @thapar.edu email address
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be a currently enrolled student

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Create a fake profile or impersonate someone else
• Share another person's contact information without consent
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Upload inappropriate, explicit, or offensive photos
• Use the app for commercial purposes or spam
• Attempt to bypass security measures

3. Contact info in chat

Sharing phone numbers, social media handles (Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, etc.) in chat is blocked automatically. This protects users from being contacted outside the platform before they are comfortable.

4. Account suspension

We may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms, receive multiple reports, or are found to have submitted false identity verification. Our decisions are final.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of photos and content you upload. By uploading, you grant ThaparMatch a limited license to display your content to other users on the platform.

6. Disclaimer

ThaparMatch is provided "as is". We are not responsible for the actions of users on or off the platform. Always meet new connections in public places. Trust your instincts and stay safe.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This will permanently delete all your data as required by the DPDP Act 2023.
